We have now had 4 sketchbook assignments. 
Sketchbook grades will be 10% of your total grade. 

Identical (8/31-9/7)
Imagination (9/7-914)
Burst (9/14-9/21)
Crooked (9/21-928)

Getting behind!

So sorry folks! I'm getting behind on here! I've been sick for the past few days and everything is piling up on me! Since the last post we have done a few things:

9/18: Brain Pop video on Imagination with the activity worksheets
Brain Pop Imagination

9/19: Today we had a class discussion about What Is Art? We read out of the book about how art is everywhere and named off all the types of art we could think of.

9/20: Book page 16- LINES. Music activity... listen to a song and draw lines to illustrate the motion of the music.  (Daily grade)

Sorry this is late! Last Friday (9/7) the word was "Imagination". This sketchbook assignment is due this Friday, September 14, 2012.

Diagnostics

This week the students will be doing what I call "Diagnostic Drawings". Each drawing will help me see where their skill levels are in different areas. They have only one class period for each and they must take up the entire page and be fully colored. If one was not finished in class, it becomes homework. The drawings are as follows:
- My Summer Vacation (shows narrative, people drawing skills)
- My Room (shows perspective)
- Landscape (shows depth and composition)
- A dream (shows imagination, as well as, basic knowledge of elements)
